Aztec - TAG functionality

As part of the MDM project we are exploring interfacing Product tags and Site tags from STEP to Aztec.

I have noticed that there is a 20 Character Limit on the following and the physical Tag name

Tag Group

Tag Sub Group

Tag Section

Tag Sub Section

My question is how viable is it to request the removal of the 20 character limit or even extending this limit?

Is this something that could realistically be hot fixed in rather than a Aztec Release,

The categories will enable us to mirror STEP Hierarchy The plan is to interface from STEP menu structure and Outlet group structure but the names are longer than 20. There is no plan to add any attribution to support 20 characters.
